Gung Hay Fat Choy!
All school skate, sponsored by our P.A.C. Wednesday January 25th 12:30 - 1:30 at the Sechelt Arena. All families: parents, guardians, grand parents, aunts, uncles and siblings welcome to join in on the skating fun: celebrate the winter season, enjoy skating and playing on the ice together, share hot chocolate and snacks to warm up and fuel up.
Please bring $1.00 for each if you need to rent skates and / or a helmet.
Happy New Year to those celebrating the Chinese New Year today! And for those not celebrating, what a perfect way to teach your children about the traditions of other cultures. Today we will put the spotlight on the Chinese New Year, which kicks off the year of the Dragon, the Water Dragon to be more specific, something that occurs only once every sixty years! The Dragon is the only mythological creature in the Chinese zodiac, and carries great optimism and promise for positive change. You can learn more about the dragon.

Mornings open with carol singing and wonderful instrumentals by Mrs. Beeman, Ms. Schmirler, Mrs. Dyson. Thursday was a wonderful start to the day with the help of Kaneeka, Ainsley, and Britney.
Wednesday evening many families gathered for warm drinks and goodies after some wet carolling in the neighbourhood.
Student Leadership Club hosted a spirit day that included a red / green theme, coin drive, and an afternoon movie with popcorn to raise funds for our school's sponsor child as well as for a tetherball.
Big Buddies along side their Little Buddies create some beautiful and delicious gingerbread houses.

SCHOOL BUS SERVICES:
School bus service for the first day of school will be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes later than the regular schedule.
Students can find their bus stops and schedule posted on the windows of the school front door one week prior to the start of the school year.
