COMMUNITY EVENTS

Basketball season is on - Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday are play days... Some Basic Information about GES: School start time 9:05 am (first bell rings at 9:00 am) Recess 10:35-10:55 am Lunch  12:10-- 12:50 pm Dismissal  2:50 pm   Students must stay at school for lunch unless they have written permission to go home for lunch-- not to the mall  (Parents can send a note in for the year for regulars).   If your son or daughter is absent please call the school and let us know. Attention Volunteers: It is SD 46 policy that all volunteers have criminal record checks done every five years.  Please check in the office to ensure that your's is up to date--we can give you a letter to waive the $20 fee.Thank you for your cooperation regarding this matter.

PARKING LOT CONCERN ***Childrens' Safety First*** For those parents picking up , or dropping off your children in the the GES parking lot on School Road it is important that you drive slowly and that you keep the traffic flowing. Please park if your child is not ready for pickup. DO NOT leave your vehicles running, and DO NOT leave you vehicle unattended if you are in the que to pick up your child. *** Please be considerate of others and our environment,

Homework Club The GES Homework Club, sponsored by the Community School, happens every Wednesday and Thursday from 3 - 4 p.m.

No Electronics Policy We have adopted a no electronics policy for our students. We ask that students not bring electronic devices to school. Students who have cell phones are asked to turn them off during the school day. Students may use the office phone if needed and parents can contact the office if there are messages that you want us to pass on to students. (604-886-2612)

Breakfast Club The Community School runs a Breakfast Club every morning at GES. Students are welcome to stop by and have a bite to eat before they start their school day. (8:00-8:55 am)
