HealthLinkBC is the gateway to access, non-emergency health information services in BC.
It is a phone number (8-1-1) and it is a website (http://www.HealthLinkBC.com).

It is also a collection of print (BC HealthGuide handbook and HealthLinkBC Files), and telephone resources, which put both services and health information into the hands of BC residents.

HealthLinkBC's goal is to enable residents to better manage their health and the health of their familiess

Inclement Weather
INFORMATION FOR PARENTS: INCLEMENT WEATHER

During the time of the season when inclement weather may affect the safety and welfare of students and, in particular, when snowy weather has the potential to cause classes to be postponed or some School District No. 46 services to be suspended, current information will be updated continuously on the Sunshine Coast School District No. 46 website at:
www.sd46.bc.ca
The Superintendent of Schools will also provide CKAYFM (91.7) with information about the status of our facilities andtransportation services by 7:00 AM, if there is a concern.
Ways to Support Learning at Home
• Encourage, encourage, encourage. Tell them 3 things they have done well for every correction you give.
• Ask about their day and if they say "Nothing." Ask another question like, "What was your favourite part of the day?"
• Check your child's planner every evening and support them to complete the tasks listed. (No tasks? Read to them.)
• Help out at school. Come and help Leanne with a hot lunch. You will get to see school in action.
Cross Boundary Transfer and Registration Forms
Both of these forms are available at the SD#46 Home Page on the button above.
Electronics Policy
A reminder that we encourage students to keep all electronics at home. Cell Phones are to be turned off during the day and to stay in student backpacks or turned into the office for safe keeping.
Dress for the Weather
Thank you for sending students to school with rain gear on these rainy days. With our field so soggy students often slip and fall and end up soaking wet. Parents may want to send an extra set of clothes to have at school in case of emergency. Thank you.
