It's Literacy Week, January 23 - 27!
Celebrate Literacy Week! Here are some activities to help you celebrate. Let your child see you reading; give books to your child for birthdays and other occasions, take your child to the library, give your older child magazines that follow his/her interest, read recipes together and then bake something special to share with the family, cuddle up and read books together, write a story with your child, research something new on the internet that interests family members, use interesting sounds when reading to your child, plan a special night for family story-telling, make connections and talk about the story together!

Happy 50th Birthday Langdale!
This school year marks Langdale Elementary School's fiftieth anniversary. Local residents are rightly proud of their school, which is so much a part of the community. We look forward to special celebratory events throughout the year to mark our anniversary! Here's to fifty more, Langdale!
We are situated in the picturesque community of Langdale, a 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver, BC).
At Langdale, we benefit from a high level of parental involvement along with an exceptionally committed staff. This combination allows us to have a family atmospherewhere our students can experience solid academic achievement, together with a variety of recreational activities and special events. The Fine Arts and Outdoor Education also receive emphasis at Langdale, and we place a high value on social responsibility along with a commitment to environmental sustainability.
