The school’s policy regarding participation in the Commencement Ceremonies (Grad Ceremonies) is as follows:
1. Participants must be a student of School District #46 and have been a past student at Pender Harbour Secondary School.
2. Participants must fully meet graduation requirements. This means that the student must have passed all courses required for graduation, including Graduation Transitions. A mark of “Incomplete” or “Fail” in any required course will result in the student being disqualified. In provincially examinable courses where exam marks have not yet been received, the school mark will be used to determine eligibility.
The school would like to avoid making a decision about eligibility at the last minute, so it is very important that a passing grade is maintained and that your son or daughter is well prepared for final exams, which will be factored into the final mark of each course.
